Vintage Wooden Floor Lamps UK
Judging by the location ultramodern (the The Cube, brand new set of apartments, offices and shops of Birmingham, UK), the latest Salon english hairdresser Adee Phelan surprised by the weather totally retro, in contrast to the elements of inspiration clean the address.
Performed by designer Ryan McElhinney , who received carte blanche from the client, the result was a hall of approximately 400 m² full of pop references, objects of art and vintage furniture. A décor that leaves no shadow of doubt that we are not in a typical barbershop. The pair had worked together previously when McElhinney designed the first hairdressing shop in Covent Garden, central London. The project is a partnership between artist and architectural firm FCH architects .
Dominating the central area of the barber shop, the beautiful French oak Mobile, dated one hundred years, is from a library of Wales and serves station haircut, with its inlaid mirrors adapted. The floor boards of demolition wood, makes the connection between vintage and new. Another highlight, impossible not to be noticed, is the enormous King Kong yellow, ahead of the reception as well as the various moldings and mahogany bookcases, antique everything panned in London.
Art is also one of the strengths of the new space of King scissors London, which has partnered with a local art gallery and thereby transformed the hall into a center for exhibitions. Among the references, names are important modern contemporary setting English as Mark Evans, Paul Normansell, Dave White and Dinah Dufton.
The brass lamps (from an old ship), the fourth piano tail or the VIP room (a charming point of waiting), everything here helps to make the act of cutting the hair a unique experience. The intention is undoubtedly to make the client feel a bit like a work of art waiting for a new look. (MARK ZEITOUNE)

Used to make them in college for extra money
Lamp shades are pretty easy if you have a little handy and crafty. I used to live in a building in college that the bottom floor was a dry cleaner and the old lady that owned it used to give me wire hangers.
You want to use the lighter weight ones for shirts. Use wire cutters to cut the wire. check your dimensions first. You start with the top/bottom circle or square-whatever shape you are using-then add the "arms" to the top and bottom. I mostly used a soldering iron. But I have made ones that are tied with twine or jute too. You can get an iron pretty inexpensively at most craft stores or a stained glass or hardware store
